Steel & Timber Framing

Structural framing is the skeleton of every building, and getting it right is fundamental to the safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness of the finished structure. We provide complete structural framing design for residential and commercial projects across a range of materials and structural systems.

Our engineers have experience with cold-formed and hot-rolled steel framing, LVL and traditional timber framing, and hybrid structural systems. We work with the full range of Australian Standards — AS 4600 for cold-formed steel, AS 4100 for hot-rolled steel, and AS 1720 for timber structures.

Building Certification

All Project Types • All States

Building certification is the formal process by which a qualified professional engineer verifies that a structural design complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) and all relevant Australian Standards. Without it, your project cannot receive building approval — it's a mandatory step, and it's often the one that causes delays.

Upright Engineering provides independent certification services across all Australian states. We also work with clients in New Zealand on the engineering and design side of their projects. We hold multiple state-based registrations including RPEQ in Queensland, Registered Structural Engineer in WA, and Endorsed Building Engineer in WA — in addition to our Engineers Australia Chartered membership at the national level.
